Akin Romeo Akinwande joined Equity Assurance Plc in
August 2008, as Head, Human Resources. Prior to that, he
spent three years working on a doctorate at the
University of Lagos, while also working as a Research
Assistant.
Akin is a graduate of the University Of Lagos. He holds a
B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Political Science. He has done a
lot of work in Human Resources Strategy, Organization Design
and Employee Relations. He is widely traveled and has
attended various trainings both locally and internationally.
Akin has worked both locally and Internationally. He is a
member of a number of professional bodies amongst which are
the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Institute
of Management (Chartered) society for Human Resource
Management (USA). Akin is happily married with children.
