To establish an insurance Company that will be a reference point in terms of customer’s satisfaction, new product development and excellent claims services in the Nigerian Insurance Industry. We hope to achieve this by putting together a highly motivated workforce and state-of-the-art office technology and undertaking regular market research. In all these, we are committed to integrity and good business ethics.

The Company

EQUITY ASSURANCE PLC, operates with a recently increased authorized share capital of N3.5 billion and shareholders fund of about N3.5billion. Gross premium income has grown tremendously from N352m in 2000 to N1.3b in 2006.

EQUITY ASSURANCE PLC is a corporate member of the West African Insurance Company Association (WAICA) and the Nigeria Insurers’ Association (NIA), the official umbrella of registered insurance companies in Nigeria, as well as The Africa Insurance Organisation (AIO).

Security

For enhanced security and solvency of our operations, we have put in place comprehensive Reinsurance arrangements handled by a first class Reinsurance Brokerage firm, the United African Insurance Brokers Unltd. (U.A.I.B.). Our Re-insurance facilities are provided by a consortium of both international and local reinsurance companies namely:-
